Circle J Meat

Our family ranch in Hempstead is keeping me busy. Circle J Meat has been going strong since 2008, and we’re still focused on raising all-natural, pasture-raised beef the right way on nearly 1,000 acres of native grassland. I wrote more about how we run things and what we offer if you’re curious.

Real Estate

I’m continuing to grow Bold Virtue Management, my real estate company focusing on multifamily properties. I’ve been investing in real estate for over a decade now, and I shared some of what I’ve learned about taking an informed approach to real estate investing.

Community and Speaking

I regularly host gatherings at our event space here in Houston, bringing together entrepreneurs and investors to spark real conversation. I’ve also been speaking at industry events about artificial intelligence, generational psychology, and how faith intersects with the way technology is reshaping our world. I recently explored some of those ideas in a piece on balancing technology, faith, and fulfillment.

Writing and Reflecting

This spring I’ve been writing more about intentionality, the small choices that shape us without our noticing. My everyday carry essay is the longest version of that thread. It started when I realized I couldn’t fix basic things in the apartments I was managing and ended up turning into a meditation on competence, dependency, and the difference between choosing to delegate something and outsourcing because you never bothered to learn. I also wrote earlier about why I stopped wearing an Apple Watch, which fits the same theme.

Life in Houston

I’m based in Houston, Texas, in Spring Branch specifically. I just put out my list of where I take out-of-town folks to eat in Spring Branch. Long Point has Houston’s largest Koreatown plus a deep Vietnamese presence, and the rest of the city is finally catching up to what’s been here for decades.
